Visual Studio 2013 Preview And .Net 4.5.1 Preview
A few weeks ago at TechEd North America 2013, Microsoft announced the next version of Visual Studio and shared some of the progress made with Visual Studio 2013 and Team Foundation Server/Service in enabling the modern application lifecycle and DevOps. The new version includes many new capabilities, such as support for agile portfolio management, cloud-based load testing, a team room integrated with TFS, code comments integration with TFS and Git support.

Yesterday Microsoft released the new Update 3 for Visual Studio 2012. When Visual Studio 2012 was launched back in September 2012, Microsoft promised to provide more frequent updates to Visual Studio: in November Visual Studio 2012 Update 1 (VS2012.1) and in April Visual Studio 2012 Update 2 (VS2012.2). Both of these cumulative updates contained significant new features sets, spanning areas such as Windows desktop development, Windows Store development, line-of-business app development, SharePoint development, agile planning and teams, quality enablement, and more.

Yesterday I completed another Microsoft Certification path: Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) in Web Applications. Since last year, I've been involved in a number of web and cloud-related projects both at work and in my spare time, which let me learn a lot of cool stuff about web development, distributed architectures, HTML5, Javascript, CSS3 and Windows Azure: after passing the 70-487 (Developing Windows Azure and Web Services) exam last August and the 70-480(Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3) exam in December, I decided to complete the MCSD certification path and yesterday I passed the new 70-486 (Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications) exam.
