On June 15th there will be a new Start Something! Tour event in Turin, hosted and organized by Microsoft, in collaboration with TTG - Torino Technologies Group community. As did in the previous event held in March, it will be an open day for people who want to write and test their applications on Windows Phone devices (in collaboration with Nokia) or Series 5/Series 7 Tablets and Notebooks with Windows 8 (in collaboration with Samsung).

MetroMVVM is a .NET helper library for Windows 8 Metro style XAML applications. It contains a set of basic components, helpers and extensions to easily develop apps based on the Model-View-ViewModel pattern. The goal of this library is to make Windows 8 XAML apps development faster, using a widely adopted pattern and a decoupled architecture, so developers won't have to spend time solving problems that have already been solved.

Few days ago an updated version of Expression Blend Preview for Silverlight 5 has been released (download it from here). It provides support for creating Silverlight 5 and Silverlight 5 SketchFlow projects only (for previous version of Silverlight or to design WPF applications, Expression Blend 4 is required).
